Frequently Asked Questions

At By.Bradlei, we want your experience to feel seamless. Below you’ll find answers to the most common questions about orders, custom jewelry, sizing, shipping, and client care. If you don’t see your answer here, our team is always available through Client Care.

Orders & Custom Work

Can you transform heirlooms or craft matching family pieces?

Yes. We specialize in resetting heirloom diamonds, gemstones, and pearls into bespoke settings and in creating companion pieces—rings, bracelets, necklaces—that honor family stories and become the next generation’s heirlooms.

How long does a custom piece take?

Each bespoke design is a collaboration. From our first consultation to final polish, most pieces are ready in 6–8 weeks. Timing may vary depending on sourcing of platinum, gold, or silver and any special stones you choose.

Can I make changes after ordering?

Small design edits are possible within 48 hours of confirmation. After that, production begins and changes may require a fee or adjusted timeline.

Can I receive an appraisal for insurance purposes?

Absolutely. We can provide a professional appraisal for any By.Bradlei creation, including bridal and heirloom pieces, to assist with personal or insurance documentation.

Shipping & Delivery

Do you ship internationally?

International orders are handled on a case-by-case basis. European shipping is available; however, all customs duties, import taxes, and fees are the customer’s responsibility and are due upon delivery. By.Bradlei cannot predict or cover these charges.

Shipping & Delivery

Domestic U.S. shipping is complimentary on orders over $750. Standard delivery is 3–5 business days after production. Express options are available at checkout.

Care & Repairs

How should I care for my jewelry?

We recommend gently cleansing your By.Bradlei pieces with mild soap and warm water. Each creation arrives in its own soft pouch—designed to protect and prevent scratches—and we encourage using it for storage when your jewelry isn’t being worn. To preserve the luster of platinum, gold, and silver, avoid harsh chemicals, perfumes, and prolonged exposure to extreme heat or direct sunlight.

How do I care for pearl jewelry?

Pearls are living gems with a soft, organic surface. Wipe them gently with a soft, damp cloth after each wear to remove body oils. Store them separately in their pouch to prevent scratching, and avoid perfumes, hair sprays, and prolonged exposure to water or direct sunlight.

Do you offer sizing services for rings, bracelets?

Yes. We provide complimentary sizing within the first year of purchase and professional adjustments thereafter for a nominal fee.

Do you offer repairs?

Yes. Every By.Bradlei creation is crafted for a lifetime of wear. We provide complimentary repairs for the first year on any piece purchased directly from us, and offer professional cleaning, sizing, and additional services thereafter for a nominal fee.

Returns & Exchanges

What is your return policy?

Ready-to-ship pieces may be returned within 14 days of delivery in original condition. Custom, engraved, or bespoke pieces are final sale, honoring the care and collaboration invested in each design.

Community & Sourcing

How does By.Bradlei source its materials?

Our platinum, gold, silver, and pearls are responsibly sourced through partners who honor ethical mining and fair labor. We intentionally center Black and BIPOC artisans and suppliers wherever possible.

How does By.Bradlei invest back into the community?

A portion of select collections—including HBCU and legacy pieces—supports mentorship and scholarships for emerging jewelers of color. These initiatives strengthen Black and BIPOC jewelry traditions and create lasting pathways in the industry.
